do people still doing stories in fanfiction sites?

(first blog so idk how to use it very well)

These days I thought about going back to writing on my Wattpad account, which I haven't logged in to write for a year. However, I noticed that (at least when it comes to my country, Brazil) not many people continue to use sites like Wattpad, Spirit or AO3, especially for stories with themes of games and cartoons. Only with celebrities, K-pop or just original stories.

I thought about writing a new story in English, but I don't know if it's worth it. Can any users of sites like this tell me if there's still visibility for writing stories involving games and cartoons? ;-P
