miku songs to listen to late at night

a collection of hatsune miku songs that i think are nice to listen to before bed. mostly calm or sparse songs with a sorta soft lullaby or trance like sense, and lots of melancholy or introspective feelings, plus general nighttime motifs.

of course, this is all based on my opinion, and i mostly wanted to share some songs i like. all of the links lead to the song on youtube. some of them are reprints, especially for older songs.

very comforting and warm piano song. sweet like whipped cream. some people say iyowa is an acquired taste. it's definitely one i recommend acquiring.

a dramatic and drawn-out retro rock ballad about grief. good for when you really wanna spend some time getting into your feelings. very unique among vocaloid songs... pausing it feels like a crime.

it's hard to believe that this song was made by the same producer as fear garden, if that's the only song you know from them. this song is also really good in a different way. i recommend listening to more of their works.

quite heartwarming and uplifting among nekobolo/sasanomaly songs. post-rock/breakcore type beat. good. well, all of these songs are good, that's why i'm recommending them lol. nice to listen to once in a while.

this really is one of my favorite snow miku theme songs. plus, this list has an almost disproportionate amount of sad and/or drone-y rock adjacent songs, so i wanted to include something that's totally different lolol. a good song for a cold winters' night.

i love this song. i love nashimoto ui. and i love when inorganic voices are juxtaposed against undoubtedly organic acoustic instrumentation. i feel like i'm lost in woods on the hot summer night in august, but at least i'm with a friend. let's sing together. maybe someone will find us once the sun rises.
