The fucking alt scene in Scotland is so fucking bad. Shit sucks the hardest, anything “alt” or “emo” is just watered down shitty pop punk that isn’t even decent pop punk. It’s actually just the exact same generic, bland, saturated, watered down millennial core “pop punk” that sounds so fucking ass. 

There ain’t any post hardcore, skramz, screamo bands, or at least any with those influences. I actually cannot fucking stand the typa shit people are making here. It’s either some random subgenre of metal nobody could give two fucks about. Like no mate, nobody cares about your fuckin “slam” band that sounds like peeling flesh but even worse. Or it’s some up their arse wannabe oasis/stone roses types. 

There’s a couple Anarcho and hardcore punk bands that are pretty decent and that I really like. But there’s no band that’s trying anything I’ve mentioned. The scene is so fucking bland. I’m pretty sure I made a blog about the “alt/emo” nights at clubs like cathouse or banshee labyrinth, but they’re literally just regurgitated blink-182 and green day tracks played on a fucking EMO NIGHT. 

There just ain’t a community or scene for it and it fucking sucks. I’ve spoke about this on discord n shit and all I get is “make a band yourself” you stupid little fucking waste of air THERE AINT ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO DO THIS SHIT 

How the fuck am I ever gonna live out my unrealistic fantasies of becoming the drummer for the next Hawthorne heights or senses fail. Will I ever be the drummer for a band that plays anything like Thursday or Silverstein, fuckin black veil brides (Andy sixx my beloved). 

Will I ever get to be that cool guy who gets to say I was the drummer in one of those underground emo bands you see on Spotify with like 800-2k listeners. Where my generations evening at elmwood, tomorrow is the day, odd project or death in December or forever wings fold
