BUDDHISM. (i hate the secret hayches "h's" that ts religion has..)
3 marks of existence - dukkha ,, anicca, anatta.
dukkha - SUFFERING. ( yeah bc buddha is the first ever loser nihlist who thinks life is js suffering..)
anicca - everything CHANGES - ( waaa waaa my huzz. 💔🥀)
anatta - btw NO FIX SOUL!! - ( lolz i put this here to make it different from hinduism bc im so goated >//< - buddha probably )
------------
how'd buddha decide to be buddha?
well, it was kinda decided for him - his mother had a dream of an elephant carrying a lotus flower, showing that before his birth he was intertwined with the supernatural.
his early life is great - hes a rich prince with lots of women. a life of luxury .
when he leaves the palace he sees FOUR SIGHTS.
1) old 2) ill 3)dead 4)holy men
"we get old then we get ill bc were old then we DIE. but theres hope!!"
this causes him to ask "why do we suffer?" and if there is a "way to end it"
he becomes an ASCETIC ( uh-set-ick)
these "ascetics" r like ppl who eat little to no food and live a life of NO luxury at all, full of pain n stuff..
----------
unable to find enlightenment this way, he finds the MIDDLE WAY.
like the title, its IN THE MIDDLE of the life of pain and luxury.
---
also, remember how in his 3 marks of existence he denotes life to suffering?
yeah, theres more to that also.
THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS
dukkha. samudaya. nirodha , magga
DUKKHA - SUFFERING EXISTS.
SAMUDAYA - THE CAUSES OF SUFFERING IS TANHA AND THE 3 POISONS .
(tanha is craving and the 3 poisons are hatred , ignorance and greed, they are in the middle of the Tibetan wheel of life - trapping you in the cycle of samsara)
NIRODHA - cessation of suffering (nirodha),” and it says that it is possible to stop suffering and achieve enlightenment. "hey theres a cure!"
MAGGA - PATH to the cessation of suffering (magga)” is about the Middle Way and the steps to achieve enlightenment. "heres the cure!"
------------------
well what do i do to be enlightened?
