Who is Mali?

Hello! :)

 My name is Mali, I'm 16 years old, and my birthday is August 2nd. I am the oldest of 2, and I have a dog who is 4 years old. I'm from the US, and I am African American. I love being black with my whole heart and soul. I wouldn't trade it for the world. When I was younger, I used to hate being black. I would pray and pray to god that I would become white because in my eyes, that was more beautiful than I would ever be. Now, I have grown to fall in love with my blackness.  When I grow up, my dream is to become a teacher. I currently have an internship where I teach younger kids on an overnight field trip, and it has been so much fun! I love working with kids, and I like to think I'm pretty darn good at it. I am a junior in high school, and my top colleges are A&T, Virginia State University, and Winston-Salem. This blog is my passion project for my college applications, and hopefully, it will continue on into college so I can really grow my blog. On this page, I will be talking about social justice, my school experiences, advice, life updates, baking ideas, and much more. I hope to make some new friends, and I hope you'll join me on this awesome ride.
