i feel so free

today im 16 days post op from top surgery! ive been wanting and dreaming and needing this for at least 11 years now. it feels extremely unreal and amazing. even though im still early in the healing process and im still in a lot of pain, and have to wear the medical compression binder, i feel so happy and free. im able to get up and just. go. i dont have to worry about how i look or if my binder is on right or if my clothes are fitting a certain way today. i can wear different clothes. i dont have to spend an extra minute before leaving the house or getting in the car to adjust myself. i can wear the seatbelt across my chest properly. its an amazing feeling. even walking around the house i feel like a new person. like the person ive always wanted to be and its great. i cant wait to be able to take walks and go back to work. i cant wait to be able to swim and climb and do all the things ive ever wanted to do. i feel like my life has finally started and its amazing, quite frankly. im so happy.
