The Garden

Mwahahahah

It’s time, Spachey. No need to fear — the garden is hereeee!

All Garden fans unite!!

I have been a very casual fan of The Garden for a few years, knowing their biggest hits, but recently I’ve been very blessed to dive down the rabbit hole of Vadavada. Honestly, what a pleasant surprise — this band has so, so many good songs, and I could see them becoming a top favourite band of mine. I mean, it hits all the boxes I look for in a good band: good community, interesting style/genre, unique, not overrated, fun live shows, great interviews and music videos. Something I’m really loving is that they’re still playing shows and making new music.

My favourite band has been on a hiatus for a long time, and likely (most definitely) forever. So now The Garden is giving me so much hope to finally be able to enjoy a lovely live show — that is, if they come to my area again, which they have in the past.

And I am so happy they’re weird. I absolutely love weird!!! The interesting fashion, the strange music videos, their live appearance, the facial expressions, and just the way they express themselves — even their lyrics! I am so sick of every song being about the same boring topics with the same sound, but if you’re sick of that, look no further than The Garden — where they speak in anger about what it’s like to be a blade of grass.

I am having so much fun with all the new things I’m discovering about this band. I also personally really love when people — and more specifically men — are not scared to express themselves. Fletcher dressing like a “girl” is so refreshing and fun, and if you couldn’t tell already, I’m really enjoying that awesome feeling you get when you’re discovering an awesome band.

Their side projects are also really good — I mean, Puzzle has so many bangers. This is the kind of band that makes me think to myself, they are really good at writing music. Even though some of their songs are more simple at times — just drums, bass, vocals, and minimal lyrics — it almost makes it even better.

In fact, one of my favourite songs by them is Crystal Clear, which is now stuck in my head 24/7. Also, it’s so awesome that they’ve put out so many music videos. I’m currently in school, and I love to put on music videos and live videos of my favourite bands when I study. Thanks to The Garden, there are so many I can enjoy.

As I’m writing this, I’m currently listening to one of their interviews. I’m also so pleasantly surprised that they went on tour with another one of my beloved bands, Machine Girl. If only they could tour together again and I could see them live.

They also have such a cool backstory — their dad being in punk bands, the fact that they’re into sports (which I wouldn’t usually expect from a punk band), and even just their brotherly relationship. Everything they’ve done and accomplished in their lives — from touring the world, being in multiple bands, modeling, and just how cool they are.

Anyway, I haven’t seen many The Garden fans on here, so maybe this can be a place for all of us to unite! Please share your favourite songs by them and their most underrated songs from any of their bands below.

Okay — thanks, The Garden, for giving me this happy high. And thank you in advance, fans, for giving me all these awesome suggestions!!
