It may be only a matter of time before we some underground artists popping up on this site! I remember back in the day there was an infinite amount of bands that you could find on MySpace.
Some of the most notable for me were bands like Attack Attack, A Day to Remember, Owl City, Jeffree Star, Millionaires, Bring Me the Horizon. Even I had a MySpace band and it's still on the OG site! Crazy.
Did any of you find your favorite band on MySpace?
Is there potential for someone to get "spacehey famous?" Who's the next Tila Tequila?
It's all so exciting 😊

Late Night Alumni and The Mars Patrol are the two bands that stick out most to me in terms of fave bands I discovered via MySpace, though I know there were plenty of others I found as well!

I can't remember which bands I found through MySpace but they were probably of the pop-punk-emo variety like Dropping Daylight and Daphne Loves Derby and Amber Pacific and My Favorite Highway.

I started putting my music on MySpace in 2006... I wrote to An and asked that if a music service was integrated into the site, that it could please be Bandcamp and not the other streaming services like Spotify, as those just have musicians fighting over fractions of pennies. Bandcamp is the only one that gives artists a chance at making any income from their creations. I'm hoping there's potential with this to build a stronger independent music community. Thanks for the add btw. :)

I too had a myspace band,
I knew nothing musical and thus it was bland.
But now's the time of the spacehey station,
Would anyone consider jolly collaboration?

I'll be super interested to see if any bands show up ... I found tons of amazing bands on MySpace back in the day too. It had indeed a weird feeling of intimacy you don't get many other places these days ...

@zsolt, I also vote for the latter, makes a lot more sense these days. I do miss how easy it was to communicate or become "friends" with bands during the myspace era. It really felt like you were breaking some fourth wall.

That would be dope, tbh MySpace was much better for bands than Facebook ever could be. I remember missing all the fun features they had on MySpace. The question is, should they have their music here, or use established services with a smart API integration into the SpaceHey music player. I vote for the latter.
