Do u ever see these cool girls on the internet or outside and think, "I wish I looked like her"? Then this blog is for you!!!
1) Get a digital camera
Can we all agree that digicam>> phone. The quality, everything about it is perfect. and they're super cheap, starting at 20$. So why not? I just love hanging out with my friends and taking pictures with a digital camera. Without posting them - just 4 the memories!!
My favorite cameras are the ones released before 2010. Cause girllll. U wanna be true to all this style! I have 2 from 2009 and 1 from 2004. And I'm planning on getting an even older one! hahaha
2) Thrift your clothing
Let's all stop buying fast fashion and start thrifting! Cause, the quality is higher and they're sooooooooooo much cheaper & beautiful! MY fav place to thrift right now is Vinted or local thrift stores. (and pls don't be like "there are no thrift stores in my country" i live in GREECE okay? If I can find a thrift store, so can u) My fav local thrift shop is currently under renovation so i can't shop there, but Vinted hass saved my life. I wish IRL Shopping was fun as well, but I do my best with what I have XX
3) Get a flipphone
Let's be for REAL, flipphones are SO much better than modern smartphones, Not only you enjoy like, time with your friends more, but they're also much prettier-looking and stylish. So DGAF about what others think and get that flip phone girl!
I ordered one and it's on the way. It's the popular Hello kitty flip phone, and I got a matching one with one of my friends. We're both SO excited! AHH. like imagine making calls and taking pictures on THAT PHONE!!!!
And if ur worrying about your social media n stuff, that's okay! U can have access 2 it when u get home. Causeee, what's a 2000s Girl without a flip phone? xD
4) Find your personal style
"Y2K" Is not a style itself, it's an era. You don't have to constantly wear pink and black. I used to be obsessed w the pink & black combo that i got bored of it haha. THe most popular fashion trends are: Low rise jeans/pants, long (halter) tops, foldover pants, tracksuits.

Que demais esse post, já estou colocando tudo isso em prática... a minha mãe até me deu uma câmera digital que foi dela nos anos 2000 e você tem razão a diferença das fotos são surreais, eu pareço tão chata nas fotos que eu tiro pelo celular e elas ficam muito mais bonitinhas e aesthetic quando são tiradas pela câmera digital.S2:)

i love this blog so much! just be careful if you wanna buy an old flip phone, most run on 2g/3g, 2g already dissapeard and 3g is on its way to dissapear around 2030 - especially that most flip phones have older sim cards inserts (mini, micro and standard sim) and not nano sim card inserts, though you can always buy mini/standard/micro sim cards from your operator. its better to look for a recent 4g flip phone with nano sim inserts :) modern japanese flip phones are pretty famous, running on 4g and containing nano sim inserts; though its a little expensive. also be careful on old flip phones, most have very old internet set ups which can possibly be impossible to access to the internet - i bought an old flip phone from 2005 (dont regret, was 5 euros lol) and a samsung from 2007, and i tried to set them up but i couldnt access to internet, even with a working sim card lawl
i also love the idea of only accessing to social media on ur computer when u get home, i mean its impossible for everyone to do that in 2025 bc social media has become one of the biggest parts in our daily lives, but its so cool to go back to that era! i would like to do that one day, but i have many people on different socials and i need to access to the internet outside my home... but i am not scrolling and over consuming anymore which im glad abt it!

so cool! wish i could do this if only it wasnt for needing to use stuff like whatsapp and uber :,) maybe i can adapt and just take my macbook wuth me if it's rly necessary, or have a smartphone too but only use it for the bare minimum i require
