Bro I FW clever lyricssss like AHHHH

I was doomscrolling on yt shorts just now and I saw this video of a lady explaining this one lyric in Hey, Soul Sister by Train. It was “your lipstick stains on the front lobe of my left side brains” and how its just a rlly nerdy way of saying “your kisses leave me speechless” and then I started thinking about literally every single time I’ve been looking through lyrics and then I see a super obscure reference hidden in there and I’m like “AHHHH I GET BECAUSE THIS IS A LOT LIKE WHAT UR SINGING ABOUT!! EATTTTT!!” Like lmao sometimes lyrics just make me so happy for no reason-

Like I remember in 2023 I was superrr super into internet drama which meant I was following the Doja Cat vape drama and stuff like that soooo when she came out with Attention I was paying attention to the lyrics wondering if it was gonna be a response and stuff. Since then I have been and AVID Doja Cat fan, like not stan like K-pop level bad but like if I saw her irl I’d freak tf out and hide like AHAKDJSK SHES SO COOL YK- Anyways, wayyy off topic mb. Point is, when she came out with Attention there were sooo many different references to different controversies she got into referencing all the way back to when she got that surgery and everyone started saying she was ugly and stuff. BRO AND THEN SHE SAID “You follow me but you don’t really care about the music” LIKE OMG IDK WHY THE LINE HIT SO HARD BUT IT DIDDDD

This turned into a big Doja Cat fan rant omg lol. AND WHAT SUCKS IS I KNOW THERES BEEN OTHER TIMES WHERE IVE BEEN FREAKING OUT OVER A LYRIC BUT I CANT NAME ANY OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD  ToT

I know there’s this one Kali Uchis song, Dame Besos//Muevete, where I think towards the end she says “Está más tensa que una faja” which to me and my Spanish speaking mom was hilarious because it roughly means “she’s tenser than a girdle”

It doesn’t sound as great in English lmao
