What's bothering ya' mate?
Most car enthusiasts usually tend to align themselves with 1 of 3 major automotive markets, namely USDM, JDM, and EUDM. I am quite partial to the Europeans more than anything, but every now and then my interests seep towards the others.
But with the information about cars readily available to public now on the internet, one's interests can take elsewhere beyond those aforementioned markets. One such market is Australia, the land down under.

Known for their immense passion for either Holden or Ford, I've come to know them for their eclectic array of underappreciated classics, and their racing heritage that is often overlooked by enthusiasts. While Australia does have an insanely popular space for Japanese vehicles, we'll just talk about cars that I believe are the heart of the most Australian automotive enthusiast.
I'd like to throw disclaimer before anything, I am not Australian, nor do I believe I speak for the whole of Australia. The following cars I'll be talking about are merely ones that I really am interested to talk about.
Holden
Holden, should be the first thing in your mind when it comes to Australian vehicles, the Aussies' pride and joy. Memories of watching certain races in Bathurst against Ford have convinced me to gain an attraction to them beyond the racing cars. The following ones are some of my favorites.
1978 VB Commodore
1976 Holden Torana SL/R 5000

1985 Holden VK HDT Group A Commodore
1988 HSV VL SS Group A Walkinshaw

1976 Holden HX LE Coupe
1993 VR Commodore Ute
1980 VC Commodore Group C
Ford
An Australian is met with two choices, the other being Ford. Unique from their American and European counterparts, there are a number of cars from Ford Australia that I absolutely adore. Some of them being the great equalizers against Holden during their decades of battles against each other both on the track, and on the city roads.
1960 Ford Falcon XK

1981 Ford Fairmont Ghia ESP XD

1984 Ford Falcon XF

1980 Ford Falcon XD Ute

1978 Ford Falcon XC Cobra
1980 Ford Falcon XD Group C
Stopped at an intersection.
If you're not Australian, you're not really bound by the two manufacturers to ensue a bloodbath around Mount Panorama every time there's a race. You're also certainly not bound by the three markets that revolve around the common automotive enthusiasts head.
There is a lot more to find about these cars, and the Australian market as a whole. So if you're currently on the fence between the Japanese, Americans, or Europeans; I'd say Australia has some great history to offer when it comes to cars and certainly an entertaining accent to go along with it.
