Making my own Cheburashka plushie

Hi,hi ^^ Since I'm new here, I decided to start blogging a little, it was something I always wanted to do but when blogging was popular I was too,,, young. Then, it kinda died down when I got the knowledge of what a blog was lol. Plus, I don't want this page to go obsolete... So I will live my truth years later!

Anyway, maybe you should be asking yourself. Why did I make a plushie of Cheburashka? WHAT EVEN IS A CHEBURASHKA? Well, let me introduce you to this silly guy ^^

This is Cheburashka! He was created by Eduard Uspenski back when the Soviet Union still existed, according to the internet, Cheburashka is like a "Russian Mickey Mouse" since he's an icon, he's cute, andd,,, he was plastered all over the places of houses of soviet families. I mean, LOOK AT HIM! I WOULD KILL TO HAVE A REPLICA OF THE ORIGINAL ONE.

But how I found the existence of this pookie? And why out of the blue I would make a plushie? Simple... It was for a college project DX

Right now I'm majoring in Graphic and Digital Design. In one of my subjects, we were given the assignment of making an animated poster based on an iconic animation studio (that were picked by my professor lol) I noticed that the majority of the names were Russian or Czech and I remembered the existence of this little guy (and prayed that one of those studios created him)

AND I WAS RIGHT! Although Cheburashka was originally a character of a kids book, he later became alive thanks to Roman Kachánov, an animator in Soyuzmultfilm studios. Basically, the studio adapted the stories of the books and that's how this tilin became MORE AND MORE POPULAR >:D!!! (as it should) Hell, EVEN IN JAPAN THEY LOVE HIM!

Back to the assignment part, we could use whatever we wanted to do the animated poster... and since I hate myself I made an actual plushie to make and stop-motion kind of thing LOL (since for me, the stop-motion part it's the most iconic thing of this studio lol)

I will stop yapping, so you see yourself the creation of a Cheburashka nyehehehehe. (I don't have all the images so,, literally he will just pop out already made)

Eepy Cheburashka.

He was made with an old jacket I have that had a similar material of the original Cheburashka, and for his face I use foam. Then I made a little set to make the composition of the animated poster, I still need to edit it, put the title and other boring things DX

The next day (today) I made other animation option ^^

Cheburashka says hi.

If everything goes well, I will make another blog with the final pieces/posters. I just hope that I don't die trying to eras the background of this GIF ;_;

And now, my beautiful pookie can go to a shelf full of plushies so he can gain some dust.

Kidding! I will treat him well, I SWEAR!!!!

Anyways, goodbye ^^!

Awww, he looks adorable, you did a great job! I loved the cartoon as a kid but unfortunately I barely remember anything about it now. Can confirm that post-soviet countries (or at least mine) still adore him very much though, even the adults and elders. And a lot of people here jokingly call people with wide ears cheburashka, so you could say he is a bit of a meme too lmao

Thank You!!! Talking about the subject in the blog, is a little difficult for me to get information of Cheburashka in English (and Spanish lol), I was a little afraid that I got some information wrong due to translation, but I'm glad that I kinda got it XD.
