i just really wanna talk about this album because i like it a lot and i cant go to the
CHIODOS All's Well That Ends Well 20th Anniversary Tour
and i am fucking pissed
i would like to start this with of course this is my opinions
1. prelude
i think prelude is a great start with kind of foreboding and uneasy feelings which this album is kinda full of, not too long and the water is a very nice start to the entire thing
2. All Nereids Beware
All Nereids Beware is what Project mayhem by finch wanted to be with a really chaotic guitar and piano duo where they constantly switch out and play off each other where project mayhem just has no point, a great actual start to the album with great vocals from craig owens and bradley bell.
3. One Day All Women Will Become Monsters
what i think really shines is the bass by matt goddard whichs add a lot of really good depth to the song but the drums in this are just as important not stoping for the whole song
4 Expired in Goreville
this song really does give sour, expired, or like blightown from ds with the off key sounds and having it sound kind of bad in a really good way and slightly different than who's sadie jenkins
5.Baby you wouldn't last a minute on
this song is kinda special to me because its how i feel right now with the choices im making
i think it is my favorite lyrically but there are others i like the sound of more however this is probably crags best vocals on the album
6.The Words "Best Friend"
remember when i just said there are others that i like the sound of more? Thats this one
craig owens vocals are crazy the guitars work really well together and they really know how to use a piano in this one it just really works the whole sonh
7 Interlude 1
good but probably the weakest of the interludes not a lot ive really got to say
8. There Are No Penquins In Alaska
kinda weird it really depends on the day i listen to this whether i like it or not but not a bad song, i really like the live version which makes me ever more mad i cant go
8. interlude 2
probably my favorite intulude but still i dont have a lot to say i just like it
9. We're Gonna Have Us A Champain Jam
probably the most simple song on the album with the chorus repeating like 7 times and not having overly complicated rhythms
10.No Hardcore Dancing In the Living room
this one is consitantly my favorite i love the intro and the build up and have i mention just how good craig owens vocals my favorite part is probably "Shredded by state lines with my face pressed against the glass" are the guy can freaking belt out and the switch up about halfway into a more upbeat sounding but still "we may never fall in love again"
11. Who's Sadie Jenkins
i feel this one is really underated i didnt really like it at first and skipped over it but it has that offkey sound but it sound way like an eddsworld type beat which i really like and the ending with the clock ticking and criags fucking voice man
12.To Trixie And Repitile, Thanks For Everything
with a kinda bittersweet ending with the message that things will get better is a great way to end off the album depends on the day but i like it more than penquins in alaska
finally my ranking is probably worst to best
7,1,8,11,12,4,5,6,3,2,9,10
i really dont think theres a bad song on here(except for maybe the interludes) so it could always change and doesnt really matter.
let me know what all think of ths album or chiodos as a whole ^_^
