Tipper and Friends @ Suwannee: The Final Chapter

It’s gonna take some time to collect my thoughts, but I want to leave a record here of how incredible the final Tipper and Friends at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park was. I’ve been following Tipper since 2018, and since then, I've come to find that the events at SOSMP are the most special. That's never been more apparent than this past weekend. Dave and the team have all of my respect and gratitude for their effort and care in crafting an unforgettable festival experience for us as fans. The stage designed by TAS Visuals was the coolest I've ever seen at Suwannee, and his takeover of Bicycle Day was nothing short of spectacular. The visual artists put the stage to great use on Friday night, but TAS truly showed us its full potential on Saturday. Projection mapping like this should truly be the gold standard for EDM events. Tipper’s Bicycle Day set might have been the best set I've ever seen any artist perform. He sounded the best I've ever heard; his scratching was impeccable, the setlist was varied and fully fleshed out, his mixing was unmatched, and everything coalesced to create something greater than I could have imagined. Finishing the set with his “Finale” ID while the crowd cheered in love and gratitude, knowing that these were our final moments with Tipper in Our beloved swamp was more beautiful than anything I've experienced in a concert setting. I got to spend this festival with a lot of incredible people and hear some of the best music that I think is coming out today, and for that, I'm eternally grateful. Now I lay here in bed, my heart full and my head replaying all the amazing experiences of the weekend, and all I can say is thank you, Dave. I’ll see you at the Gorge. <3
