Well, I've been out for a while. I forgot this blog even got a reply. So, here's a fresh draft for a story prompt I got.

The Day I Fell In Love, The Week The World Ended (by Orion)

Monday, Day One

Well, it's happening. I think I've finally fallen in love. Me, the one the family considered destined to die alone. Anthony, the loner, the "no one ever catches my eye" guy. Now, anyone who might ever possibly ever find this in any impossible future would think "well, that's not so bad. This guy's writing like it's the end of the world." Because it is! It is, quite literally, the end of the world. Seven days from now, the world will end.

Her name is Isabella, and she's beautiful. Dark blue eyes like the sea, beautiful long black hair, and a very good sense of fashion.

We don't have a chance, and I know it. Everyone's got things to settle with the whole "end of the world" ordeal. But she's so sweet, and I won't go down knowing I didn't even try.

Anthony closed his journal and placed it underneath his thighs as he sat in the empty booth, waiting for Isabella to appear. He didn't know what he was thinking, this was a waste of time. She wasn't going to show. He was about to leave when the bell rang and the door to the restaurant opened. He perked up and turned around to look at the door, and there she was. Just how he remembered her when they first met on that street corner, rushing to their separate workplaces for the day.

She sat down in the booth and smoothed out her dress, sighing quietly.

Isabella really had nothing better to do than go on a date this week. She had no affairs to order like everyone else. She just wanted to live out her last days as peacefully and normally as possible. This date was the most normal thing she could possibly do this week. It didn't help that the guy was so charming in his own politeness. His personality just added even more to how charming he looked and the general kind yet quiet energy he radiated.
