Paul Wight, aka Big Show, signed with AEW! And of course, WWE fanboys came in with the "SEE? AEW SIGNS LEGENDS JUST AS MUCH." And it's like...yeah but are they challenging for world titles OR are they putting over younger talent? People like Edge are an exception to WWE bringing in legends because we can infer that Edge probably won't have one last world title run, but bringing in Goldberg to challenge for the Universal Title every time isn't great because he can't go AND he's pretty dangerous. Legends that AEW signs are almost always there for coaching, commentary, and putting over the young folk. Occasionally they'll take a bump, like when Brian Cage powerbombed Sting on Dynamite a few weeks ago, but that's fine with me since it's not *all the time*. That's just my little rant for the day. I love professional wrestling, and that includes both WWE and AEW. People just need to really look at the whole situation visa-vis signing legends.
