"Hayley is by far the most original interviewer I've come across. She has a knack for asking not the standard questions, but pertinent and unexpected original ones which engage the interviewee more into the conversation - and it is a genuine conversation rather than some predesigned list of questions - than is usual. To her credit, she always knows her subject, no doubt due to her love and passion for music and the eagerness to know everything about the artists and bands she interviews. A rare breed these days indeed, a true original. And she shares my love for chocolate, which means she's one of the good ones."

"I really enjoyed my interview with Hayley. Despite the distance, it felt like a genuine, close conversation rather than an interview. Great, original questions too, stuff to make you think before answering! It was a pleasure to speak to someone not only like-minded, but who completely understands my music and what I'm hoping to achieve with it."

"I get asked to participate in interviews all the time - and have done since the time of my first band, The Solicitors, formed in 1978, thru Kabuki and all thru Ausgang's life up to the present day. Back in the day, they would exclusively happen face to face, usually in the context of a gig/recording/photo session. These days they can happen in many different ways - in person, via email, phone or video. I enjoy doing them all. The ones I enjoy the most are those that end up taking the form of a 'conversation' - and that definitely was what I felt about my experience of being interviewed by Hayley. Not only was she well-informed (she'd clearly done her research), but she was obviously a fan of music - not just Ausgang - which I am too, which meant that the back-and-forth nature of the interview felt organic and it was a pleasure to just 'shoot the breeze' as it were. Hayley touched on subjects that I hadn't really considered before, which made the interview unique and she was definitely polite and friendly. I would gladly go into more depth with her at the drop of a hat and it's obvious to me that her journalistic talents are going to take her far."

"It was a genuine pleasure to be interviewed by Hayley following the release of our latest album, The Very Things’ ‘Mr. Arc-Eye (Under a Cellophane Sky)’. Hayley is a highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable music lover, with a clear understanding of what she likes and why. Her passion and energy are truly infectious. This is coupled with a level of friendliness, respectfulness and politeness which is rare. The questions she posed were both thoughtful and pertinent, devised specifically for me, my bands (The Cravats, The Very Things, Silverlake) and our shared history. She does not rely on generic or formulaic queries. Hayley is a talented journalist. She crafted a conversation that demonstrated in-depth research and a real appreciation of our work. She listened carefully to my responses and built on them with insightful follow-up questions. On occasion, her questions were unexpected – sometimes surreal – and this challenged me in a very productive way, encouraging deeper reflection and more considered answers. I believe Hayley’s interview approach yields genuine insight and uncovers new perspectives. The final piece offers a revealing glimpse into both my personal and musical journey. I found it a thoroughly enjoyable and valuable experience, and I trust that others will find it equally engaging and illuminating. Thanks Hayley."

"Hayley is a pure natural when it comes to music journalism. I appreciate her way of making the artist at ease with fantastic introductions and questions that music fans can also enjoy. Hayley is a great conversationalist and a true fan of music, so this resonates with the artists and readers. I look forward to reading her past and upcoming work and am truly thankful for Hayley's review and interview of my music."

"An interview with Hayley feels more like catching up with old friends at your favorite bar than anything formal. It’s the kind of conversation where time disappears — you’re laughing, swapping stories, and diving into memories like no time has passed. There’s a natural rhythm to it, full of ease, warmth, and just the right amount of rock and roll. It’s simple, genuine, and a real pleasure."

"Hayley has a unique approach to conducting interviews, which I truly appreciate. She doesn’t rely on the usual questions like “Why do you play the guitar?” or “What’s your favourite colour—as a goth band?” Instead, she genuinely searches for what makes your music distinctive, and she keeps digging until she uncovers it. She always knows exactly the right questions to ask. It was an absolute pleasure to be interviewed by her."
