20 weeks of paramore - week 7 - monster

"i'll stop the whole world..."

ack, it's a bit late, but week seven is here! and today's song is monster-- appears on the singles club ep, though originally made for the "transformers: dark of the moon" movie in 2011. (never seen it-- never seen any of the transformers movies to be frank, so if anyone has, mind telling me how it is?)

the lyrics are basically about how one will move on and continue to thrive without the listener. the world is now their oyster, despite the possibility of the world "eating [them] alive."

though i don't listen to it much, i've always loved the dark-er(?) sound of this song. i was actually surprised to find out it was for a transformers movie, because it felt more like a song i'd hear in a supernatural show(... or fanvid of said show).

i feel as if this song is really underrated for paramore, so i really encourage you to check it out if you're familiar with them. and if you like the song already, that's super cool too.
