I'm worried

About my safety and my future

About the well-being of human nature

About how strangers perceive me

I am not a burden

I am not a disease 

I am not someone to be cured of 

I am not a hindrance and tragedy to my family

I am intelligent and kind hearted 

I have a supportive family 

I have a talented and creative mind

I am Autistic and proud

But I am worried

About my safety and future

About the well-being of my fellow neurodivergents

And the strangers that will view with prejudice 

I will look forward to hope

For a loving world

Where ableism and prejudice 

Is replaced wit

h tolerance and respect
