Gonna keep this one short (sort of, I guess?) because there hasn't been much of an update. I'm going to be taking a break from these music blogs because I currently have two weeks off from college. Currently, I'm going through the first week off, and I'll be on the second week soon. However, that doesn't mean I will not be active. If anything, I have been active during this time off.
I have put together a WordPad document which I like to call "THE BIG BOOK OF SONGWRITING ANALYSIS. (and other song-related yapping)". I was inspired to do this after learning that Rivers Cuomo from Weezer did something like it before called "The Encyclopedia o' Pop" where Cuomo dissects songwriting from musicians like Kurt Cobain, as well as bands such as Oasis and Green Day. Outside of that, I have been debating on what the final song should be for my FMP portfolio. I am tied between "The Purser Stole My Gun" from the Commodore 64 game Netherworld, or "Fastest Thing Alive" by Noisy Neighbours as heard in the 1993 cartoon Sonic The Hedgehog (AKA: Sonic SatAM). Admittedly, I am a very big fan of the Sonic The Hedgehog video game series and considering how the first song in my portfolio came from a separate video game series (Comix Zone), I feel like it would come full circle in a way with the final song being from another video game series (in this case, being Sonic The Hedgehog).
