Just spent the majority of my day toiling over my seminar paper. It took me several hours just to get 4 pages done! Plato’s Symposium proves to be far more challenging than I thought.
Thankfully, I have decided to give myself a tiny bit of leisure, which means drinking the rest of the wine I have stored in my fridge xb.

Symposium is certainly one of Plato's more demanding works, which is probably on account of the fact that he takes much longer than usual to express himself. Also because the conversation entails a multitude of participants, as opposed to just Socrates + someone else.
A good rule of thumb in evaluating Plato's Socratic dialogues is typically to isolate the Socrates passages and work backwards from there, rather than just reading the whole scene over and over again. I'd usually read them once in the flow and then dissect them using that method.
Thanks for the advice! I just submitted my paper, and deciding to spend on Socrates speech first ended up helping a lot!
