hey! you'll notice that i haven't posted my undertale review, & i can explain why. 1. i haven't been up to pace with some of the obligatory tasks in my life so i felt like i need to prioritize that over gaming. 2. sticking to a list for me is normally DREADFUL plus a game like undertale feels sort of intimidating once you remember how popular it is, & of course if you feel like you're forced to jump on a train then you shouldn't be riding. maybe on another blue moon.
it solely depends on whether i'll be doing full length reviews from now on, & whether it turns up successful, i want to do both a music album AND video game a day. i'm super obsessed with new music right now, i figure this will be the post i start with. these reviews are always subject to change!
album of the day: paramore - all we know is falling
i want to get it off my chest that I LOVE PARAMORE!!! & my phase is now in full gear. i've been obsessed with their song "miracle" from their sophomore album "riot" for a while now & figrued this was a good place to start if i wanted to hear more beyond just the popular songs. though my expectations weren't as high, i always have to head into a franchise from the beginning. my top 3 favorite songs are 1. brighter, 2. emergency & 3. my heart & if you are already a paramore fan, i suggest that this album is ESSENTIAL in hearing. it'll feel like the first time every time which is rare with a lot of things. if you're not into paramore in particular but still like softer poppy rock, this is still worth taking a look at. 8/10 in my book, loved this album so much i immediately bought it after listening.
game of the day: the simpsons: hit & run
i can see why a lot of people give praise to this game. while amateurs might see it as some sort of GTA clone (& honestly i can't blame them, take a look at "road rage" compared to "crazy taxi") somehow they managed to do it all correctly. the missions manage to garner the same charm as the series & it surprisingly has more depth than you would expect. it makes me excited to play more cartoon-inspired titles such as "family guy: video game!", one i heard abt from peter knetter (i think). so far so good, gets an 8/10 from me.
positivity around the board! stay tuned to see if i'll do another one of these :)
