My Wet Specimen Collection So Far
I wanted a place to show off my wet specimens and I figured why not here :) I get mine from a local oddity shop (its also a comic book store but that's besides the point). The little guys are technically dead so if that bothers you this is definitely not the post for you and that's ok, but even though their dead they've been preserved so they're still in good shape. Wet specimens are little critters that die of natural causes and then are preserved, just in case you aren't familiar with them I just wanna make it clear that they were already long gone before they got preserved. Anyways I get all of these in mystery boxes so I'm not 100% sure what any of these are, I use google lens to figure it out and its not always 100% accurate so these are what I believe they are to the best of my knowledge.
Centipede
Leech?
I had no clue what this was when I first unboxed it but google lens said it was a leech which makes sense to me
Spider
Google lens said this was a woodlouse spider but after looking up what that is I don't think that's right because woodlouse spiders don't have the hair on the legs that the specimen does, so I have no clue what kind of spider it is
Rabbit Heart
It's definitely a heart, and Google says it's probably a rabbit heart which would make sense to me

VERY COOL!! my bf loves stuff like this! he has a rabbit head in a jar :3
the heart looks big to be a rabbit heart though but im not sure! im super interested in IDing that spider...
i wonder if its a species of feather-legged orbweaver

Thank you :) I looked up feather legged orbweavers and I found a pic that looked a lot like the spider I have, I think you might be right! (thank you I would have never guessed that on my own lol) also the rabbit head in a jar sounds so cool!
