You may be wondering what i mean by predator and it's exactly what you think ! I have ocs whose key role in the plot is to be a diddy freako! Why? Cause its fun and relatable (as the victim (obviously (freakazoid 9000s))) dude bro idk what to tell you

Oh I understand now. it's like a coping mechanism for you right? I feel saying it's "fun" is a little insensitive to people who are also victims and may read that part. But I can also kinda see why you wrote it in that way. To me it looks like you are trying to take power back through the lens of your predator OC. And in your mind and experience, the predators had that power over you. I am not trying to like, psycho analyze you but these types of posts are hard to ignore for me ^^; I also read your other replies and that gives more insight as well.
Also I'd just say to be careful when making an objectively immoral OC and trying to make them relatable to an audience that isn't you. Because it could imply you are trying to make others empathise with them. And while sometimes the pred does go through traumas themselves that make them that way, it still doesn't justify their actions. So just be careful of that. You don't seem like a person that would acknowledge anything I have to say, which is fine, but I do hope you heal and feel better. I'm sorry that happened to you.
(also just keep in mind that because you are still growing and (i'm sorry to assume) haven't fully processed what happened to you. you may be susceptible to more situations where you can be abused because you are making OCs that relate with the person that abused you.)

Also on that note of how i use the oc, i don't try to make him (referring to one in particular but all in general) relatable, i don't see the point in making an oc relatable for others when that oc is a bad person. Maybe some people can see themselves in him but im not aiming for that. Whatever past he had didn't excuse or necessarily cause anything that happens later, as with real life. All it does is provide an insight to make find whatever excuse he gave himself, but a backstory can (and will) never excuse personal actions.
If you're interested. I would love to talk about the oc and general story with you.
Also also, i understand how my attention to that oc and it's building can make it seem like i relate to him more personally, but its not my job to police what others think, i can only hope that they look for more that a surface level conclusion (like u :9)
Maybe i haven't fully processed what happened to me but my therapist would say im a good ways there

Oh sorry I understand now! Yeah ofc OCs are mostly(?) pretty personal, and you don't need to worry about other people view them because what matters is what they mean to you and how you designed them. I just spoke that word of caution in the case someone got attached to your OC, and how you could possibly prevent them from empathising with bad people. But at the same time you are not responsible for how others see or interact with your OC, so yee. You are not at fault if that were to happen, and I apologise for assuming earlier.
Oh okay the so him having a past is soley for storytelling purposes? That makes sense, since you wouldn't exactly *know* how a pred thinks unless you interacted with one yourself. (which u did). Your OC just has the impression of them to better push the story forward, or to make a convincing/intentional character.
Sure, I'd love to hear more about the OC and story. You're absolutely right in saying it's not your job to police what others think. Creative expressions like writing and art aren't just for fun and creativity, they are also used as ways to tell deeper stories and like, "talk" about things that otherwise would be difficult in a normal conversation. And sometime they are just dark for the sake of being dark, or whatever genre its going for. Sometimes I forget that. v-v But it's always good to talk about them to get a better understanding, like how I am right now :D

(I mean even looking at myself I have an OC that's a child soldier, but that doesn't mean I condone the existence of child soldiers and the stuff they deal with. People who make OCs of bad people are not bad!) ok i will stop now XD
