Today I watched a video going over the old internet and discovered the beauty of geocities and personal websites. It must've been so cool to just make your own homepage and customize it as you please without ads, even company websites were maximalist and unique :') There's a website called Cameron's World featuring a bunch of old images from archived geocities and each photo actually leads to the website. You can explore the actual links! I loved seeing the guestbooks, which all ranged from 1999-2001. I definitely recommend this site if you're feeling nostalgic!!

have u ever heard of neocities? its basically a current day geocities. i have my own site on there and there and have found some really cool sites on there.
