Why do all teachers have the worst music taste???

I was in Health class today and the teacher put on the most basic ass playlist ever. Million Dollar Baby (probably my least fav song ever), Imagine Dragons, Flowers by Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, can they get any more basic??? 

I get that they want to play music that's 1) Appropriate, and 2) Widely Recognized, but that doesn't mean playing the worst music known to man. Like you don't have to play music that's well known!! People play obscure ahh classical music all the time and nobody riots! But NOOO, when they play classical music, it always has to be like "Believer by Imagine Dragons but Violin" the fuck.

Music taste is literally so important to me ong. Like my dad also has the worst music taste but in the modern pop country song kind of way. I will listen to ANY genre of music except for that. I like OLD country, but not newer stuff. I went through a phase in the fifth grade where the only thing I would listen to was the Epic of Gilgamesh (Peter Pringle cover on YT). THE EPIC OF GILGAMESH. I AM THE GENRE TRANSCENDER. But I still hate modern country, and pretty much any overplayed song. Everytime I head "Texas Hold em" by Beyonce I want to rip my eardrums out of my head istg.

And PE teachers play the corniest music too. Like ain't no way I'm jogging to fucking Imagine Dragons I'm sorry I just can't do that and take myself seriously. Don't get me wrong in Elementary school that was THE SHIT but not nowwww bro :( I prefer to jog in awkward silence thank you very much
