Writing lore for Original Characters

Man, not only does my grammer suck, I feel i'm just not creative anymore. I used to have so many cool ideas all the time, now I can barely come up with a short story for a single character.

My main OC Genie for example, I love her so much, I have a main idea how I think she behaves, talks and moves around. But a background story, interacting with friends, nah. I'm completely stuck, I've rewritten her story about 4 times now, and every time I end up hating it, I will run out of ideas for said story and just scrap it.

Working on another story version for her at the moment, I like how it's going so far but I keep changing up things, I'll be writing and suddenly be like "wait... that would'nt make any sense." and then change up a whole lot again. Though with this story in particular I've decided to not box myself in so much again, this one has alot more creative freedom. My previous story for Genie was in the Victorian era, as much as I love that era, i'll be stuck in a box and get tired/run out of ideas so incredibly fast.

Does anyone else feel like this, any tips?

I'm rambling so much, thanks for reading.

(srry for any typos)

this might not work for everyone, but i find that listening to music with lyrics really helps!! i tend to have a TON of ocs with their own stories, and most of it is because of a game or a song that i felt resonated with them, and then i built it from there. if there isnt any music you listen to that fits with genie, theres always a bunch of spotify/youtube playlists that have a sort of "vibe" to them. always start simple too!! hope this helps :)
