People are way too obsessed with looking down on you because of your interests/favorites. I can’t exactly explain why I love the things I love, it’s not because they’re perfect or absolute peak cinema I just love them for what they are, how they made me feel. Which admittedly is different from person to person, hence why it’s unexplainable.

That’s the reason I want to improve the way I express myself, so that others can understand how I fell in love with the things I fell in love with. Why that shitty 12 episode anime is on my favorites list, why that normal sounding song is my absolute favorite, why that one-shot that isn’t particularly interesting changed my life, why I reread that novel with the shallow sounding story 8 times.

I admit I was in positions where I looked down on someone’s interests, but I’m trying my best not to do that anymore. Even if that person’s interest is, god forbid, Happy Sugar Life. I’m sorry.
