In the West, even today, Japanese music doesn't reach here except for the most famous ones, a good example is Plastic Tree or any other famous Japanese band, it's super rare for a Japanese band to have their complete discography on streaming and some bands even end up getting lost and here we can't even listen to them, I think a good way to get around this would be to visit Japanese blogs and websites, because we rarely have access to them.
The West doesn't have access to visual kei or Japanese music.

I think a societal problem fueling this is the language divide. As Vkei's lyrical portion is in Japanese it makes it harder for it to reach metal and rock communities in the west, especially since they aren't actively seeking it out, as it goes against the western alternative music stereotype. Also, the bias of your language in search engines makes it harder for westerners to consume media that isn't English.

Basicamente,as músicas japonesas não chegam até o ocidente,apenas quando são muito famosas,tanto que aqui algumas são praticamente lost médias
