My Dream(s) - April 14th, 2025

I currently sit here eating some waffles without syrup (it feels wrong and tastes wrong-er) after waking up early to take a math test I am ultimately going to fail.

When I woke up, I passed out for another ten minutes and had a small dream.

This second dream was me in my room just doing whatever I do. Suddenly my father walks in, stepping all over my tatami in his shoes as I have told him to refrain from several times since moving home. He takes one of my nice shirts and says he's borrowing it, but I keep arguing with him that it won't fit, and he will just ruin it. He keeps telling me it will be fine and puts it on, only to rip large holes in it all over (he is a very large man). I get upset and tell him that it's destroyed now, and he keeps making up excuses for why it's okay.

He then leaves my room and goes to gather with some people he claims are his friends (I looked out the window and never saw any of these people before in my life). He walks out of our garage and isn't even wearing the torn up shirt anymore, just the one he had underneath it, implying he just threw it out in our trash cans. I complain out of my window about it and he starts doing his typical screaming and yelling back at me.

Next, we're in the living room and he's berating me for other things that had nothing to do with the shirt. I tell him that he could've at least asked before it, but he says he will continue to do that and has no reason to ask because it's his house. I tell him he'll have to buy me new clothes then, and he goes off trying to make up metaphors or examples of other things that are supposed to be lessons at me about something, which made no sense and had nothing to do with the situation.

Then I woke up. The small bit I do remember about my first dream was something about a dream version of the town my paternal grandmother lived in, and the dream version was bigger and nicer. I don't remember too much of it.

Either way, the second dream made me feel like shit waking up and already set me out for a groggy morning.

Dang, that sounds like a rough dream. I can relate a bit to that from when I was younger but of course I'll never truly understand your experience. I'm sure the dream stems from reality which is why it probably hit hard too. I'm sending good vibes so the next dream you have will be pleasant!
