Changing Through Jesus

I just wish that people weren't afraid of the Bible. They say that the Bible can change things in their life and they're afraid of that, but isn't that good? It sucks because I do things the Bible tells us to avoid, and I keep on doing it even when I read the verses. It's what us Christians struggle a lot with.

But I trust and I know that with the help of God, we can all reflect on our sins and confess and change. Change may seem like it makes things worse, but when it comes to picking up the Bible, it's a good thing. The things around you may change, but God's love for you will never change.

We shouldn't be afraid of God in a way we want to avoid Him, we should be afraid of Him in a way that we know what He can do. God gives things, but lets not forget that He can also take things away. And yeah, perhaps that's why some people fear Him in a way they want to avoid Him. God is certainly not someone to play with in like a messing way, I agree on that brother. That means we should be careful with our words and our actions when we face Him. And if you didn't mean to do it, I'm sure God knows for He can see your heart.

Change is scary. I'm currently struggling with my phone addiction :( And my soul is telling me to keep using this phone because it gives me relaxation and an escape from my life. But my spirit knows that using this phone won't give me relaxation, God will give me relaxation! So lets try our best to pick up the Bible and not pick up our phones to just scroll on socmed :)

Lets pray for each other that we can change through Jesus 🙏

Have you read the entirety of the Bible? There are many verses that, in today's society, would not be tolerated. I know there's this sort of cherry picking people do and try to justify the various things in the Bible, but what's a book's story if it's only going to be either edited to meet standards, or waltzed around various verses? It gives the impression that devotion is subjective.

No i havent read the whole Bible yet, still learning and growing in faith. and yes, picking whatever verse makes u comfortable and only listening to it is not faith. faith is when you go follow something no matter what. if it's comfortable you follow it, if it's uncomfortable you also have to follow it. and in thr Bible, its often the uncomfortable verses that a person needs. Christianity is not a religion of comfort when you look at it. its not just a religion too, its a hard journey since we need to follow the steps of Christ. Jesus' life seemed uncomfortable because most people didn't accept Him. why? because when he reads the Scripture, He doesn't pick the verses He likes, He reads the whole thing and obeys God no matter how uncomfortable the verse is. thats true faith
