I have a better Idea. Let's go back to, say, the roaring 20's? Anyways, in Upper-class culture, They had superior education and their accents and speech patterns reflect that. i haven't the faintest clue. care to elaborate....?????????
for example, the word retard was originally a medical term, and then we started using it as an insult and soon it became a slur. frankly, i find this stupid, we use anything as an insult, don't we?
if that one thing didn't happen, we would still be using "retard" today normally.
