current gen social media is so MID bro youtube twitter instagram and pretty much everything rn is so cooked. this website and other more underground/obscure websites genuinely clear most of well-known modern social media and its not even close. its called "SOCIAL media" yet most of the known ones dont promote social interaction at all. like genuinely this is the first website i've seen in years that actually kinda feels like it promotes social interaction unlike other websites

TRRRUUUEEEE. if anything, social media just turns my brain to mush. Deleting tiktok a few years ago fixed my sleep schedule, and making a tumblr was a godsend since it's image and text based instead of video after video- and there's also a sense of culture there, at least. But even though I've made some mutuals on there, it still feels a little lonely :// ive got an ig as well, but it's just to follow ig-only artists. ig and everything else just doesnt really feel cozy enough to use it regularly..
yeah social media really stopped feeling interesting at all. like even youtube i feel like is a barren wasteland for anything except either people who put in way too much effort or content farm slop

exaaactlyyyy. ESPECIALLY on the effort part. I see people who put so much effort into making their posts articulated and perfect, and if i ever want to upload something myself, i feel like i have to meet a certain standard. ESPECIALLY when it comes to my artwork- i feel like if i post something, it has to be a finished piece with multiple doodles to get people interested. I've really gotta get out of that habit, because then I'll /never/ post; i think ive been getting better, but the feeling still lingers.

yeah the standard for everything to be perfect now on social media is genuinely insane. it often feels now like there's very few spaces to just have FUN.

I agere that we should communicate more than just add a comment on a reel that you will never see again. It’s almost a waste if u ask me

Yeah! And if that’s all socialmedia is focusing on then it will feel so empty, like a shell of what it could be. Hopefully sites like this will be a “lifeboat” for people that doesn’t want to always follow the doomscrolling etc

yeah this website made me kinda realize that the "modern internet" actually is still cool. you just need to look beyond the usual popular websites for actually good stuff. hopefully more websites like this are made, i haven't found enough like this one

Me too! I was so surprised when I found this, it was a random comment on a video I saw that spoke about this MySpace inspired project and I was interested right there, so I checked it out and I’m so happy that I checked it out since I have interacted about so many different things and that’s pretty funny, one time this SpaceHey user talked about eating pizza and watching shrek and I answered and we started talking about how good pizza is, hehe pretty random but that is what I like about this site :D
