20 weeks of paramore - week 6 - here we go again

"and here we go again..."

welcome to week six! today's song is here we go again, off of their first album. though never let this go is my favorite song, i always turn to this one when i'm feeling low. listening to it always makes me want to get up and dance, with it's... forgive me for a lack of better word, but, bouncy sound? i can't help but bob my head along the beat and melody from the first second.

the lyrics depict the end of an adversarial relationship. their days are filled with arguing with each other, though they always "forget the things [they] swore [they'd] meant." in the real end, when the relationship ends for good, the singer doesn't miss them at all-- they're completely fine, even better off.

this entire week i've been having the live version on repeat as well, with the modified outro that has lyrics from at the drive in's one armed scissor. i feel as if the addition brings a lot to the song and finishes it better, and the energy is brought to a whole other level. if you haven't listened to any live versions of this yet, you totally should. anaheim is always recommended, though i think the one taken from okc about two years ago is also really good.
