Nightly Reminder: Please Be Safe

Hey guys! First blog because I get very nervous about posting online.

I was scrolling through the new users page and it's awesome to see how many people have started using spacehey regularly! Having a social media platform that's disconnected from the same monotone minimalist look of every major social media is super refreshing, and it makes me happy to see how many people have taken to it :)

I have noticed a lot of younger users as well, and that makes sense since spachey is rated 13+ (i think??? lemme know if i'm wrong) and there's very few online platforms catered to younger audiences. But i just want to send out a reminder:

Please Please PLEASE stay safe online.

It's a very very basic message but I see a lot of younger users with their faces in their pfps and although I'd like to be optimistic, it's also a very real chance that there are people on this website who don't have your best intentions in mind (especially considering the recent paraphilia discourse that happened on here).

Please please stay safe, be aware of who you're giving information to. It hurts my heart to think of someone else going through the same things that so many others have gone through growing up online. You are cared about and you deserve to have a space on the internet that you feel comfortable occupying. I wish all of you nothing but the best and I hope everyone has a great night <3
