I'm watching the Minecraft movie on Monday. I'm an adult who has never played Minecraft.

Well, "never played Minecraft" is a bit of a lie. I've played Minecraft exactly once when at a sleepover with a friend in 2017, for about 10 minutes before I got confused and handed the controller to my friend who continued to play as I watched. I know a bit about Minecraft, it's a crafting game where you play as someone named Steve? And there's a story mode people ignore for creative mode, I think?

In all honesty, it was not my idea to go, I'm tagging along with a group. The people I'm going with know little about Minecraft either. They saw Jack Black, and decided right then and there that it was going to be a good movie.

And that my group chats are sending memes of "Chicken jockey". I'm sure it's ironic humor, where something is funny because someone said it was. Will not lie, it's gotten a giggle from me a few times.

I'm not sure what to expect, but I'll remain optimistic!
