A Fireman's Prayer

Lord I pray to thee

To ask you to watch over me

To give me strength to rescue a crash victim

You know I see too many of them

Guide me through the fires

Before another child's life expires

Please help me to cope

When I have but lost all hope

I work many long hours

I'm just a normal man, without super powers

I've seen things that made me cry

But I never ask you why

Lord watch over my fellow sisters and brothers

So I don't have to console another grieving mother

And Lord to you I pray

Please, give me an easy day
