Today was a foreign languages conference, and I was a speaker in English. The topic that I was covering? Relations between Russia and ASEAN member countries, and what we could do to improve upon them.

The people, they absolutely loved my speech. The jury? They loved the way I held it all together on stage, and the way my flawless Canadian did the talking. The host? Said this was some of the best English she had ever heard.

Come the award ceremony, our group was declared the first in our bracket, and we were awarded a trophy for our incredible performance.
