Life Updates

It has definitely been a while so I think it's time for some updates.

The past few years have brought a lot of change. I've changed career paths from being a Correctional Officer to jumping into the world of healthcare as an Application Analyst. (The amount of information to learn is absolutely crazy!) There are times when I miss the constant action and the prison, but that just wasn't for me. Now my days are filled with meetings that overlap with more meetings and lots of thinking about how things should be built.

I have also moved around a couple of times which leads me to keep thinking about how much I don't like moving. Putting stuff into boxes is fine but actually moving those boxes is the worst haha.

Some things haven't (and probably won't ever) change like my love for coffee and the rain (when it decides to come around). It's nice to feel like I'm getting away from things as it pours down around me or when I hop into the car for a quick cruise.

I'm currently giving beer brewing a try with this thing called a Pinter. You can buy their brew kits that make things a lot easier and I would like to move into home-brews after I get a feel for it. My first kit was a Lemon/Lime Hard Seltzer that came out okay. A little weak but great for a first shot, and I'm happy the keg didn't explode or something XD

Other than that, it has been kinda business as usual. Fairly soon I plan on hanging out with my best friend again. It's been over a year since we have last chilled together so that should be fun. I'm still playing some video games like COD: MWIII, Final Fantasy XII, and the latest Hitman WoA series.

Time is flying by these days. If there is one thing I can tell my future self, it's this: I hope you have been going out and having a bit of fun because you deserve it.

The same goes for anyone that has read through this :) I hope you are having a great life so far and have had the chance to experience many things and make many friends. If not, maybe today is the day to start?
