The future of my blog - 009

TLDR: I'm moving to tumblr!

Okay don't freak out guys, this post is just for my Arcadian followers! I've decided to move all of my Penny Arcade stuff to tumblr, I will still be posting my personal blog here. Sorry for the clickbait...!

Instead of doing "weekly progress report" style blog posts about Penny Arcade I've decided to opt for short-form blurbs. Essentially, instead of going over multiple topics at once in a blog I'll just post them scattered around my tumblr page.

(I've also never used tumblr before please don't pelt me with rotten tomatoes)

Why the change?

If you've read some of my PA blogs then you may know that tumblr is one of the few places where the fandom is active, that's half the reason already. Another part of the reason is the system SpaceHey has set up for blogs, in my opinion it's very hard to search for specific topics and the site is a little difficult to navigate overall.

On tumblr my posts will be viewed by a lot more people and it will be easier to access as well as being easier to digest. If you've been keeping up with Operation PA then you might know that this is an important step to rallying the community.

Another big part of why I made this decision is how frequently SpaceHey goes down, I spent 45 minutes writing a blog post last night during the outage and when I tried to post it the whole thing got deleted! This also isn't the first time that's happened.

The page is certainly NOT ready, but when it is I will link it here for anybody interested.

What does this mean for my SpaceHey?

Admittedly, this site is not necessarily what I wanted it to be, you need to have people find you directly instead of having a feed of some sorts to find blogs. I know there's ways for people to find you when you're online or through other people's friend lists but nobody reads my blog or my bulletins when they friend me that way, people use this site to find friends more than anything.

I will still try to post here but I can't guarantee I'll have much to talk about. I feel like nobody reads long tumblr posts anymore so I might post some of my longer PA stuff here and then link it in a post... kind of like twitlonger.

What else is changing?

I will no longer be using my Neospring account for questions! I will keep my tumblr asks on instead.

My Rentry page will be refurbished and my dni/byf page will go into more detail about me. 

I might not check my IMs here as often because I only use it to talk to strangers (Sorry...!) 

In conclusion:

See you guys on tumblr! I will continue to use SpaceHey for now but due to it just being so clunky I may end up retiring it if things go south, I'll discuss alternatives in a later post if needed.
