Ok, so by "teenage bands" I mean bands made up of like highschoolers, something that I'm pretty sure is obvious. Anyways!...where they all at now? Like seriously?! Where did they go?! When you really think about, nowadays it's wayy easier to get one up and running. You can literally buy 60$ guitars and basses off of amazon (granted they aren't the best quality, but that's nothing a lil bit of modding can't fix). It's not just amazon you can get some budget gear from, there's ebay, facebook marketplace, craigslist, Thomann (if they ship to your area), and more! You can even get some decently priced used gear too if you look far enough. Drums on the other hand... yeah that's going to cost a pretty penny regardless of the circumstances, but you can always save up! Even though instruments have become so much more accessible, and their prices are seemingly tailor made for people my age there's hardly any bands popping up. I know that some of yall might look at this blog and be like "well it's because rock isn't as popular as it was in previous generations". While yes, this is a valid argument, I'm gonna have to bring my counter argument to the table. That being Tiktok. Tiktok is very much the reason why rock is getting a second wind, I mean it's the reason why a lot of things before us is becoming more popular. I mean SpaceHey's rise is a prime example of this! So, you would think that since rock is once again popular with the youth there would be more bands, right? Well apparently, for whatever reason this is not the case. Maybe you guys can give me an answer to this.

Hmmm maybe look at ur local scene, from where I come from, although the scene is small, there's a ton of bands made up of teenagers and young adults, super talented too!!
Went to this punk concert once and it was made up of old wise guys, seasoned teenage concert goers and literally one random toddler moshing in the crowds. And all of the bands were dudes like me whose still young and still going to school and aren't old musician dudes. Which is pretty cool.

That might be a possibility. Which poses the problem of the few kids actually interested having a harder time finding others like them to start a band. Case in point, me :(

I don't know where you live, but in my city I can tell you almost every single teen that is into rock or metal is into a band. Even if they don't even play any instrument yet. For me, a guitarist for 5 years now, that's fucking annoying because they are obviously not taking learning an instrument seriously and when they do buy their instrument they usually drop it after not even a year. Actual serious teenage bands I personally haven't seen in my comunity
I'm a DC boy and yeah, the fact that many people my age drop instruments quickly is a bit of a pain in the ass. At least in your area you can regularly find people actually interested in rock! Just wish they had the drive to actually lock in...
