Today is the start of de-install for my exhibition, causing me to reflect on a few things.
1. Did my work and layout of the elevation stand out?
2. Was my brand identity clear to those who viewed my section?
3. Did I make a lasting impression on those who viewed my work?
4. What were my strengths and/or weaknesses?
5. What would I have done differently?
I feel that in my haste to make my entire exhibition space completely unique compared to others, I lost some of the point of it, as well as causing a drop in quality for some of my pieces I was showing. I am confident that my overall brand identity and aesthetic are most definitely visible to those who have never seen it before.
However, I feel that the quality of my works and elevation layout/placement caused my space, overall to be more of something to view once and move on. I'm mostly just unsure of if I am overreacting about it all, but I definitely know I need to get my design brand more recognition.
What if I were to create a 'zine to bring more people to my work and have them get in contact with me for their own designs?
Would anyone want one if I were to create one? I'll give more information once I make it, but just send me a message or comment here, or talk to me on my website if you would be interested in receiving one.
**NOTE: IT WOULD BE FREE, DON'T WORRY ABOUT MONEY.**
[edit] Adding a pic of my exhibition space (ignore the mess on the floor, this was during install and I had not cleaned up the excess yet). IRL it's about 11' tall (excluding the bit of the vinyl on the ceiling) and 10' wide. My smallest prints shown are 11" x 17"

are you an art student? XD tho anyways im curious what this installation is as a rando seeing this (´。• ◡ •。`) ♡
also zines r always fun, if u have the time it would never hurt to make them!!
I am, I'm currently a senior Graphic Design major, but I also do a few other types of art. The exhibition was a student portfolio exhibition for all senior graphic design majors here at my university. It's generally a way to showcase both works made for classes as well as personal projects! I'll try and see if I can attach some type of image of my exhibition space

I'm jus a foundations year student but so cool to see another art student :3!!
I feel like your idea for a zine is even stronger now that I see this!! You have an a amazing visual, and a zine would create an interactive / dimensional aspect to it. Super cool!
