Never Let Go

Hey blog just wanted to spew my thoughts on this movie. I recently watched "Never Let Go" and when I went on letterboxd to review and was honestly a bit shocked by the reviews. I will say the movie is very underwhelming and really not at all what I initially expected but the movie was still great in my opinion. It wasn't overly scary or riddled with jumpscares that made the movie too cliche but it had ACTUAL suspenseful scenes that made you scared for whats to show or pop up. I think the message behind the movie was also well done. Generational trauma and abuse are probably the most common message I saw behind everything going on throughout the movie and truly I think thats what made it scarier. The moms fear of becoming "evil" and then her children's fear of that "evil" because of their mother and the lies she'd tell them. Although its not the best movie,  it is definitely a good and interesting movie with an interesting concept that unfortunately wasn't executed as good as it couldve been. JUST MY OPINION THOOOO ^^
