Mads Mikkelsen

Okay I just need to rant about how much I love Mads Mikkelsen. Like it's bad, really bad. I know so many fun fact about him and it makes me feel like a stalker. It's also sad because he has a wife he ADORES so it's not like I'd have a chance. Not that I think that he would be into a 16 year old girl living in America. But anyway I just need to rant about stuff with him.

Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen, born November 22, 1965. He is a scorpio. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is married to Hanne Jacobsen, they wed in 2000 and met during his dance career when Hanne was his choreographer. They have two children, Viola Jacobsen Mikkelsen and Carl Jacobsen Mikkelsen. Viola gave him a granddaughter, Maria. First of all I gush over the fact that Hanne kept her maiden name and that they passed on both of their last names to their children. Mads loves his wife, there are numerous photos/videos of them together and he is always staring at her with such loving eyes I can't even. He makes my heart swoon. If I can't marry him, I hope to find a man who loves me like he loves his wife. 

Mads did not start in acting, he built his way there. He was a gymnast in his youth. Like I mentioned earlier, Mads had a successful dancing career. He attended ballet school in Gothenburg, which is in Sweden, he here learned not only how to become an amazing dancer but how to speak Swedish. He also studied dance with Martha Graham in New York in the 80's, even though she was no longer teaching. He was then a professional dancer for about a decade. In 1996, he attended the Aarhus Theatre School to study drama. He appeared in numerous shows including "Chicago" and "West Side Story". I love musicals and the theatre so this makes me so happy.

He really is my hero, Mads is a knight in France and Denmark. On April 16th 2010, he was knighted by Her Majesty Margethe 2nd, the Queen of Denmark. Then in April 2016, the French government knighted Mads of the Order des Arts et des Lettres. What a man. 

He really is a diverse, cultured man. He has been noted as a "keen" motorcyclist, owning a rare 1937 Danish Nimbus. Ha, that sounds like something from Harry Potter. Speaking of which, he is a part of the wizarding world. 

He is a part of the Stars War universe, Fantastic Beasts (Harry Potter world), James Bond, the Lion King, and even Marvel. He often plays the villain in many films. When asked in an interview how he always become the villain and in such large films, he explained that Hollywood sometimes wants a stereotypical European villain and he happens to fit that role. Also, kind of on the same topic, he has little fangs that stick out and it is so so cute. During the creation of the Lion King, the animators were inspired by his little fangs and included that in his character, Kiros, design. The Lion King was also his singing debut, making him a triple threat in the performing world. A triple threat is someone who can sing, dance, and act. 

Mads has won numerous awards, I probably can't even list them all. But I will talk about one called the "Bambi" award, which he dedicated to his granddaughter Maria. He has also been voted "Sexiest Man in Denmark" six separate years. Gooooodddd I need him.

My favorite role he has ever played is Hannibal Lecter in the tv show, "Hannibal". He is the first Danish Lecter out of the four, and the tallest, and sexiest in my opinion. I can't even I'm so fixated on Hannibal it honestly deserves it's own post. 

This last part is honestly gonna be just some random fun facts I couldn't fit anywhere else. When asked what his favorite food was in an interview, he said, "Well, my favorite food would be anything Thai". Oh would you look at that I learned how to cook Thai food :3. His favorite show is The Walking Dead, favorite band is Pink Floyd, and he loves soccer so much he named his dog "Messi". Says he likes Coca Cola more than coffee since, "life is too short for hot drinks", whatever the fuck that means. Bad habit, but he has admitted to struggling with smoking. He said at a con once that he prefers ones without filters. He dislikes birds and saunas, clearly the dude doesn't like hot stuff (I can change his mind). His wife's initials are tattooed on his arm, got it for her 60th birthday. He broke his nose three times, so he has a little bit of a scar (hot asf). Bruce Lee is one of his inspirations. 

Oh with the James Bond movie, "Casino Royale", he lost his script before the audition. He left it on the plane from Denmark to America and was unable to get it back. He told interviewers, "I am the reason why they put your name on the script. This is what they're trying to avoid. I panicked. I was out of the plane. I'd walked maybe a minute or something. Then I realized 'Oh no', and I went back, and they wouldn't let me in". I can't I love him so much. He still got the part btw.

Anyway I have more to say but I don't feel like writing anymore. Love this man so much <3
