Goodness gracious this month was intense. First turning 18, and then leaving for a overseas trip without my parents???
First half of the month was chill actually, exams were crammed in the 2nd and 3rd week but nothing bad askjkjasdk FOURTH WEEK HOWEVER was kinda wild 😭😭
Well uhh turnng 18 is a normal thing that happens cant stop that think ill make a separate entry for it, havent celebrated yet
FOUR DAYS AFTER MY BIRTHDAY i went to Dublin (IE) as a school trip/exchange student thing for a week (and I think its going to be the last time I go somewhere with my school cause my parents wouldn't stop complaining about it cause "it was too expensive and if I went there I wouldn't be celebrating my 18th bday" which nonsense because my plan is playing board games with my friends and eating pizza) the trip was nice, but I ended up getting into an argument cause idk. that was weird.
THE TRIP.
1st day (Sunday) we got transferred to the hotel in the afternoon, later a guide (who looked like she was done with the world) showed us around, and then took us to the restaurant (which was very nice!! left a 5☆ review and they quite literally wrote me a love letter)2nd day (Monday) we went to the British Iternational School, the teacher there was fun :] he talked about Irish history and traditions and stuff, we did some work groups together, and then the teacher told us to prepare something about the stuff we were going to see in the week for Friday, and in the afternoon we got to tour the city, and the guide (not the same person from the day before) had very specific themes for every tour (this one was the "Viking and Medieval Dublin" tour) and tbh I found all the tours very fun, so I'm not going to write this again and again adjgfjhsdfjg and then we ate fish and chips in the evening (didn't think I'd like it, surprisingly found it delicous)
3rd day (Tuesday) we toured in the morning (and it has been like that until Friday), ("Georgian Dublin" tour that day) while we visited the Hugh Lane Gallery in the afternoon (didn't like it much, found one (1) painting interesting and that's it) in the evening we ate pizza, thought it wouldn't taste like the one back home, but it was good!! a classmate of mine said it was raw, but I liked it :]
^Mrs Lavery Sketching, AKA the only painting I liked in Hugh Lane Gallery
4th day (Wednesday) the morning tour was based on literature, we got to see the Oscar Wilde statue and stuff around Merrion Square Park, including the National Gallery of Ireland (which I really liked! There's a painting in particular I liked, but I can't find it and I didn't take a picture 😞) during lunch break I went to this shopping centre at the beginning of Grafton street (it's at the beginning of the street from St. Stephen's Green, if you're entering from the opposite side it's at the end jkdnkjsdfjk) and i bought some CDs :]
5th day (Thursday) morning tour was about the Irish revolution, we saw the Wolfe Tone statue and St. Stephen's Green park, in the lunch break we went to the Jervis shopping centre, and luckily some art shop had a Journey Together ETB so uhh i bought it :] (also bought more CDs but ill make another blog entry for that) we were supposed to go to Trinity College's National Gallery but the entrance fee was like 12€ so I decided to hang out in St. Patrick's park instead :] took the bus to go there AND GUESS WHAT. driver was almost surpassing the speed limit and suddendly braked. my phone was in my hand as I was checking where I had to get down. phone falls. I pick it up. the screen was cracked. anyways there were lots of doggies there it was very nice in the evening we ate at the Hard Rock Café and there was a young woman performing, she was very talented I think, her name is Camila Cobe go give her a listen :]
6th day (Friday) we went back to the school, as we had to present what we liked about our trip. I didn't say much, after everyone said what they had to say, we did more group works together and that was it :] in the afternoon since the original plans got cancelled we were free to roam in the city, me and my friend went to the Temple Bar area to get souvenirs and stuff it was very fun :]
7th day (Saturday) we were supposed to visit Sandicove Village but plans got cancelled again so we spent the entire day going wherever we wanted, I didn't buy much that day (just food) but my friend bought A LOT of stuff (mainly souvenirs) and that's it jbckajsbdfjkasd
8th day (Sunday) I slept only 30 mins cause we had to take the bus that would take us to the airport as we headed back home that, I woke up at 2am while the flight was at 6am. dont remember much of it cause I was sleepy af but it all went good. arrived in the Naples airport at 10.30 (10 mins earlier than we were supposed to) and got home around 2pm :] rested for the day and my mom let me stay home on monday too sdhfahf that was the trip.
THE DRAMA.
I mentioned I got into an argument (where my three and only roommates were originally involved), and tbh I didn't understand much of what happened, but here is what i understood:gotta first introduce who is in the drama (gonna use fake names ofc)
Bluebell - My friend and roommate in this trip.
Amaryllis - Bluebell's classmate and roommate in this trip.
Iberis - Bluebell's classmate and Amaryllis's (best?) friend. Roommate during this trip.
On day 2, when we were doing our group works, Amaryllis and Iberis (along with some other classmates but it's not their fault) worked alone and didn't even take in consideration me and Bluebell's work. When Bluebell asked if they could take in consideration our work, Amaryllis was rude to her. Bluebell didn't take it well, and she kept overthinking it. She even tried to apologize, but i think it wasn't her fault, and Amaryllis should've apologized instead.
On day 3, nothing overly dramatic happened. Bluebell wrote a note to Amaryllis apologizing again, and Amaryllis read it, said "Okay" and ignored it.
On day 4, as I was showering, Amaryllis started arguing with Bluebell. She accused her of "lying" and "badmouthing" her and her friend Iberis and "ruining their reputation". (thing that never happened, because Bluebell would never and they ruined their reputation by themselves, not me and surely not Bluebell said something to someone outside this "group") When I was done showering, I came back to the main room and asked "Did something happen?" (Amaryllis was yelling at Bluebell) and Amaryllis had the nerve to say "Do not interrupt us, it's a matter between me and Bluebell." (rude) After that, Amaryllis had the gut to call in a "witness" (aka someone who tends to exaggerate everything she says, most likely the one who Amaryllis and Iberis tokd about this situation and who didn't keep her mouth shut about it) and this girl talked about Bluebell like she was a manipulator, and Iberis always stood on Amaryllis's and the "witness"'s side. After this argument, Amaryllis, Iberis, and the "witness" forced Bluebell to go apologize to everyone that now thought badly of Amaryllis and Iberis (nonsense) and they wouldn't shut up about it if she didn't, so to not make Bluebell feel bad about herself, I went with her. We didn't manage to "apologize" to everyone since our teacher was around checking if everyone was in their rooms so we had to come back.
The following days I talked with Bluebell and I told her that she shouldn't care about it and if she kept thinking about it she would feel worse and she told me "I can't not care about it, I still have to share a classroom with them" which fair, but still
Bluebell then told me that she saw Amaryllis and Iberis making fun of me, and tbh i dont care. these two girls are too proud of themselves to apologize so why should I care at all?
Bluebell then later felt better for the rest of the trip and I was happy for her cause she doesn't deserve to feel like that :]
