Yayy!!! An update!! I know no one gafs so this is mostly a post for myself so I can lay out some of their new lore without the confusing haze that is my notes app.

Alien ocs pt 1 (galili’s alien form here)

1. Galili [Giant Mantis]

Galili is a giant mantis, a predatory, high-instinct species who intelligent contact was thought impossible. Galili was raised at a UFO base after contact with her species ended in ritual sacrifices to the new “beings” (UFO employees). Galili was educated to the strictest standards on many interstellar laws and customs, but her curiosity peaked when she began learning about one of the biggest low-contact intelligent species on plant Earth: Humans.

After taking near every course that UFO had to offer on humans and their cultures, Galili was ready to embark on her journey, through UFO’s very generous Earth Exchange and Integration Program, to learn all she could about humans.

After arriving on Earth, she breezed through her final exam: making an average human avatar. Once her avatar was printed, with the UFO’s permission and a female guide to help her settle in, she was released.

Species notes: exoskeleton based creature but still humanoid in posture, transition to human avatar does not allow movement of the facial carapace.Giant Mantises do not feel romantic attraction in any way.

2. Kanha [a colony of sand beetles ]

Kanha’s alien form is very malleable as they are just a collection of thousands upon thousands of sand beetles (common name). Normally, colony or hive-mind based species are not considered for any of UFO’s abroad programs because once condensed into an artificial avatar, they tend to have extremely unstable personalities. Kanha is no exception, but they were allowed to participate because they won a lottery of sorts.

After arriving on Earth and finishing their exposure training and final classes, their immersion into Earth culture began. But it seems like their guide, Nathan, is almost more exciting than the bustling new world they discover.

Species notes: a collection of microscopic beetles. Some unintegrated beetles can be seen roaming their person (looks like  un-stationary moles). Personality will eventually settle into the most prominent Traits.

3. Leilan [human]

 Leilan and her brother Nathan are the children of one of UFO’s human branch executives. He and their mother are also professors in the University that the UFO human branch is located beneath. Leilan has always been interested in fashion: she sews outfits and creates custom dolls, which sell for a pretty penny. She’s a part time student in college but her parents are pushing her to become full time in the upcoming semester so she can get her degree. Leilani’s confidence is at an all time low when she can’t seem to make any friends. Leilan ends up becoming Galili’s guide after some last minute scrambling (putting males near a female Giant Mantis could be dangerous) to find a girl to fill the roll.

4. Nathan [Human]

Nathan works part-time as a UFO integration guide, helping aliens settle into their new human avatars and lives, especially the college aged aliens. After a mishap with Galili, he is instead assigned to Kanha, a very tricky case as his personality seemed to switch up every couple of seconds. The only thing that remained constant seemed to be Kanha’s obsession with Nathan.
