I've gotten back into journaling with my Hobonicho these past two weeks. I originally bought it back in 2023, around the time I joined this site maybe? I don't recall exactly, but, point is that it stayed unused for the most part. Until now. I've done a pretty good job at writing every day, a paragraph at minimum, but it's been a good record. Of course I'm much more personal there than I ever intend to be on here, but I'll spare the stranger who clicks on this the repetitive prose I've written out with my scratchy handwriting.

It's nowhere near as aesthetic as the ones you can find on reddit or say Twitter or tumblr. Especially on the inside, it's pretty unorganized and frankly a disaster. But it's mine. And I like it that way. Kinda.
I'm in the middle of reading the manga for Nausicaä, I love love love the movie so I'm getting back into that one. Miyazaki's art can be a bit dense and hard to read at times, but Nausicaä has to be one of my favorite protagonists, and it's such a stirring world. And I finished The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa on the 31st of March. It's pretty painful reading about loss and carrying those memories, but it's an easy recommendation on my part
I also saw a psychologist for the first time the other day, it went mostly well. And I had a sandwich from Jersey Mike's, it was my first time and the club sandwich with bacon, vinegar, olive oil, and pickles (no tomato!) was pretty freaking good.

Heyy, nice blog entry! :)
I think your journal does look great! I'm not a fan of those aesthetically pleasing completely neat and organized journals, they don't feel "free flowing" and too planned out, I don't think they are personal but for show mostly. I think journaling is something very personal and the thoughts can just come out on paper any way they want
And I also love the movie nausicaä, I never realized there was a manga about it. Maybe that would be an interesting one to read :) I'll look into that
See you around!
