POV: when you watch a true crime vieo and...

Have you ever watched a true crime video after a long time and found it again when you are the same age as the victims?

Lately I've been rewatching videos of true crime cases that I've known about for years - this topic has always interested me and fascinated me since I was a child - and I'm becoming more and more struck by the fact that many of these victims are either my age or younger than me (I'm 23). I mean, these people - especially girls - had dreams, goals, and a whole life ahead of them, like me, and sadly all of this was taken from them in such cruel ways that... oh my god. I don't mean to make a too moralistic-spiritual speech - that's not like me -, it's just that I find everything so unfair and sad.
