macOS Layout for SpaceHey

by Alexis Scobey

Cover Image

Designed painstakingly by a loyal Mac user. Lightweight, faithful, and customizable, this theme offers best-in-class for both Operating System imitations and SpaceHey themes.

Loads, just like that.

No screen-filling animations. No difficult to discern colors. This theme is close to the official SpaceHey layout, and as such it's quick and accessible for anyone.

Painstakingly Beautiful.

Made on a real Mac by an Apple Enthusiast, every color, font, and position has been carefully chosen to emulate the macOS experience as best as possible. And if you're viewing it on a Mac, you get the best experience, with support for the Lucida series of fonts, it'll feel almost like a native part of the system. Other systems use the Verdana font, meaning that no matter where you are, the format looks good.

Your page, however you'd like.

Both dark and light modes are included, allowing you to make your page appear however you'd prefer. Plus, with the versatile WTFPL licensing, you're free to use the stylesheet however you'd like, without any need to ask for permission, nor forgiveness, royalty-free, forever.

I am in no way a professional, and this layout was developed with reckless disregard for copyright and fair use, and with generally poor coding practices. I stayed up until 3 am making this, and while I'm proud of it, I'm also very tired. If you need help or support for it, go talk to your friend that seems good at computers and bug them to help you. Unless I'm that friend, in which case, that's too bad for you I guess.

It seems to me that any laptop would be good for working with photos. Well, at least among Macs, all options should be good. However, you need to consider how large the files you usually work with are and which software you use. Anyway, check different specs and reviews to form a complete opinion. By the way, does anyone play games on a Mac? I understand that a Mac isn’t the best gaming computer, but maybe it will be enough for me.

I assume choosing a note-taking app depends on the features you need. Some people just want an easy app to plan their day by the hour, while others want to create beautiful, aesthetic notes by simply writing down important thoughts. The best note-taking apps for Mac and for me is probably Side Notes. I don’t need any incredible design, a ton of fonts, but I do need a handy app where my notes are always in view.
