Overrated rockers

I think some people like rock bands because it's popular or because of one song they heard of the band and literally doesn't listen to any other ones that are better and underrated for example nirvana it's a popular band but some only like one or two songs , best. I really hate this because now i  feel like if i like a band like splitknot or mcr i have to find other non popular songs or underrated ones to not seem like those type of people it's sad because they can just say they like the band and won't even know or give a darn about the history of the band or the revolution they must have given i can't be the only one right?? ☙☙
